Recognizing a community that cares

Schools, businesses, churches and individuals in this Phoenix community help make a difference in lives by painting the exterior of older homes. Over the past nine years, 1000 volunteers have painted 192 houses in South Phoenix.

Local contractors provide the paint for free and people of all ages donate their time and paint brushes. These freshly painted homes bring both homeowners and volunteers a huge sense of pride and the big reveal is incredibly emotional. You’re our star today New City Phoenix!
